Math 3 is an interactive, multimedia math series. The course emphasizes problem solving in real life situations that require mathematical concepts and communication.
The Goal
The
Goal of Math 3 is the successful application of problem-solving techniques to a
solid core of secondary math fundamentals.
The
series is designed for individual use. Individuals
learn more complex math concepts.
The
Video Component
Math
3 utilizes the Learning 2000 multimedia, interactive teaching platform and
incorporates the Math portion of KET’s GED on TV.
The series received the Wilbur Schramm Award of Excellence for
instructional television and focuses on several students in a mathematics class.
The video follows these students as they recognize and apply mathematic
principles in their world outside the classroom.
